HSK 1-6 Texts

Build Chinese listening and reading step by step.

Each HSK level includes audio, Chinese text, Pinyin+English translation support, and sentence analysis. Work through real textbook dialogues and passages, then use them for shadowing, imitation, and output practice.

The first lesson of each level is free to try. For HSK 1, Lessons 1-3 are free, so complete beginners can test the format before joining.

How to use these texts

Use each text as a listening and speaking practice cycle. First listen without reading, then read with support, shadow the audio, and finally practice by imitating useful sentences.

1

Listen first

Try to understand the main idea before looking at the text.

2

Read with support

Use Pinyin, English translation, and sentence analysis to check meaning.

3

Shadow aloud

Read along with the audio to train rhythm, tones, and fluency.

4

Practice and imitate

Borrow useful sentence patterns and use them in your own speaking or writing.

Which level should I start with?

Try listening to a few texts from the level you are considering. If you can understand the final lessons of that level comfortably, you are probably ready to move to the next level. A placement test will be added later.

Choose your HSK level

Each level has a different learning job. Lower levels help you build basic sentence reactions. Higher levels help you understand longer passages, viewpoints, and more formal Chinese.
