HSK 2 Grammar Dictionary Preview

HSK 2 grammar builds on the foundations from HSK 1 and helps you form more natural, flexible, and complete Chinese sentences.

You can study these lessons in order or choose the grammar points you need most. If you are still building your foundation, following the module order will make the progression easier.

Each lesson goes far beyond a simple grammar introduction. It is designed to help you truly understand and apply the pattern through clear explanations, practical examples, and focused exercises.

Choose how deeply to study or review each lesson based on your current goal: Understand the Grammar → Master the Pattern → Use It Fluently.

Each lesson includes pinyin, word-for-word translation, full sentence translation, and AI audio. You will also practice through:
Word order exercises — to build correct Chinese sentence structure
Translation practice — to produce complete sentences and practice typing in pinyin
Listening practice — to improve listening comprehension

Repeat the lessons and key examples until you can use them naturally. Before starting HSK 2, review the HSK 1 lessons on basic word order, question words, time expressions, 在, 有, modal verbs, and measure words.

Note:
  • 🌟 Newly added: These lessons were added to this course to reflect updated HSK content or provide useful foundations.
  • Optional: These points are not listed as HSK 2 grammar targets in the HSK 3.0 syllabus. They may appear as vocabulary or useful expressions in the new textbooks and can be studied selectively.
