Pattern 1：正在……zhèng zài...Be doing something right now
- 她正在切菜。tā zhèng zài qiē cài.She is cutting vegetables.
- 她正在准备一顿饭。tā zhèng zài zhǔn bèi yí dùn fàn.She is preparing a meal.
- 锅里好像正在煮东西。guō lǐ hǎo xiàng zhèng zài zhǔ dōng xi.Something seems to be cooking in the pot.
Pattern 2：把……切成……bǎ... qiē chéng...Cut something into…
- 她把红甜椒切成片。tā bǎ hóng tián jiāo qiē chéng piàn.She cuts the red bell pepper into slices.
- 妈妈把水果切成小块。mā ma bǎ shuǐ guǒ qiē chéng xiǎo kuài.Mom cuts the fruit into small pieces.
- 他把土豆切成片。tā bǎ tǔ dòu qiē chéng piàn.He cuts the potatoes into slices.
Pattern 3：还……hái...Also / still…
- 旁边还放着很多新鲜的蔬菜。páng biān hái fàng zhe hěn duō xīn xiān de shū cài.There are also many fresh vegetables placed beside her.
- 锅里还冒着热气。guō lǐ hái mào zhe rè qì.The pot is also giving off steam.
- 桌子上还有一个碗。zhuō zi shàng hái yǒu yí ge wǎn.There is also a bowl on the table.
Pattern 4：从……上看，可能……cóng... shàng kàn, kě néng...From…, maybe…
- 从图片上看，她可能是在给家人准备晚饭。cóng tú piàn shàng kàn, tā kě néng shì zài gěi jiā rén zhǔn bèi wǎn fàn.From the picture, she may be preparing dinner for her family.
- 从桌上的食材看，她可能要做很多菜。cóng zhuō shàng de shí cái kàn, tā kě néng yào zuò hěn duō cài.From the ingredients on the table, she may be going to make many dishes.
- 从锅里的热气看，她已经开始做饭了。cóng guō lǐ de rè qì kàn, tā yǐ jīng kāi shǐ zuò fàn le.From the steam in the pot, she has already started cooking.
